In one month I will be traveling to Chincha, Peru on my first ever mission trip since having my babies. Mission trips in and of themselves are such a test of faith, especially trips out of the country. But you add the fact that I have little ones ... it makes it all the more a test of faith! We have some friends also (husband and wife) going and leaving their children with family. When I found out they were going, I had a peace about my own children. It's amazing the little things God uses!
We will fly into Lima and then travel by bus to Chincha the following day.
We will be doing door-to-door evangelism and children's ministry. Chincha is a society of Afro-Peruvians; citizens who are mostly descended from slaves. I know when I see a baby there it will be hard for me to let go of them. They will have to check my bags ;) Totally joking! :)
Prayers for myself, Jeremiah, and the rest of our team from SC, Mississippi, and Texas (about 38 of us) are VERY appreciated ... and for our families back home. There is a link to a blog that will keep you updated while we are there! It is: http://e3chincha12.blogspot.com/.

I'm baaack!
We finally got internet back at the house! YAY!! So thankful to be connected to the world again. Television just isn't enough anymore :)
Madelynn starts school (K5) this August. Seriously, where did the last 5 years go??? I think I may want them back :( I met with Madelynn's new principal-to-be, Dee Dee Washington at Brushy Creek Elementary School. She is absolutely FABULOUS! She actually called a friend of mine later in the day to tell her what a blessing I was to her! If she only knew how the Lord used her in my life today!! I'm so so excited that Madelynn will be under the instruction of such an amazing woman of God.
Nehemiah is growing like crazy and is obsessed with his hair looking like a "rock star". Hopefully we will be financially fit enough to send him to K-3 this coming school year. He's such a sweet boy. He's really caring and thinks his big sister hung the moon. She's his best friend.
Jeremiah and I are doing well. I want another baby so we are praying about that ... Yippeee!! God's timing.
Things are about to get crazy here. 8th grade retreat next weekend. Peru in June. Vacation the week after Peru. Michigan in July. That's as far as I can go for now :) 'Tis the life of a youth pastor's wife!
